Mitasanshodo is a Japanese stationery store in the Gunma Prefecture which has been around since 1928. During this periode they've specialized in Hanko (personalized) stamps and expanded with stationery products over the years.
In collaboration with KureTake they have developed their own brand of ink. They have developed two types of inks. Sumi ink, dark black inks often used in calligraphy and artworks, but Mitasanshodo has tinted these with wonderfull colors. allowing for an intense color when diluted. And Hana (flower) inks, which are alot lighter compared to the Sumi inks. The Hana inks are fragrant inks with subtle versatile colors. Both types of inks are wonderfull to play around with and use on a daily basis.
Apart from being a great product. Mitasanshodo has managed to create a stunning bottle design based on the Edo Kiriro engraving often found in glassware such as whishkey glasses. This original design makes it an eye-catching bottle in your collection. The box design of the ink's is reminicent of wood grains and highlights that nature is all around us.
personally, in our opinion this is one of the products that reflects the craftsmanship and expertise Japan brings to the stationery market.
